Crab eating my GSP?

Bought this crab a month ago, LFS recommended it for me. It has been behaving well for the past weeks, but I spotted it on top of my GSP just now. After it moved away, that part of GSP seems to be bald..

Is this crab eating my gsp?

Forgot to put the species of the crabby. It's a burrowing crab.

It has been spending most of its time under the sand bed, hence it caught me by surprise by being near the top of the tank.

If you can't find any other cause, it's a pretty good guess the crab is eating the GSP. Very few crabs are obligate eats...most are opportunistic omnivores - eat anything anytime.

Don't think so.. Have a crab atop my gsp for over two months now.. Crab and gsp doing great. In fact they seem insuperable my logic there is some detirus in and around the area and the crab is having a good time
