Hi all,

I'm new here!

And first of all, I want to say that THIS HOBBY IS SO ADDICTIVE!

I've got myself 2 new SW tanks in a short span of 3months after I got myself hooked on my FW tank.

The tanks just got bigger and more!

- Ehiem 2228 canister (phos remover + carbon only)

- Green element LED

- SKIMZ SH01 Skimmer

And in the midst of getting a chiller, currently using a big fan to keep the water cool.

My first nano tank,

with some easy zoas, mushrooms and fishes

While cycling...

When the ammonia and nitrite/nitrate level boom and dropped..

Time to transfer the LS in!

The first 15mins of LS!

Can't wait to see them blossom and introduce new corals!

For ur tank, I suggest u put a black Colour board behind the tank as backing..it not only cover those unsightly wires, it oso create a deeper look feel..the best is to stick sticker but ur tank is with water now so dun think able to access that..cheers

Yea, its a skimmer.

Thought of placing a big coral fan behind to give the tank a different look, just wondering will it thrive..

Is the cabinet strong enough to support your tank cos it isn't cover from edge to edge of the DT?

Hi, its actually the same size with the tank. A wooden block was placed in between the tank and the cabinet to make it look nicer haha

Skimmer in DT is very unique..shd have gotten an external skimmer in the first place..or get a ios/sump to house the skimmer..do a overflow will look much better..

coral fan is difficult to keep..They required cold temp water n strong current to thrive..cheers

Oh well, I've bought the wrong item. Guess my LS and I got live with it first. Hahaa

Ahhh, guess I got to wait for my chiller before getting them.

Thanks for the information!! Cheers!

That's not what he meant. The tank and stand looks like a freshwater tank to me.

WAter pressure in marine tank will be more compare to fresh water. As a result, tank leaking or cracks.. since its a 2.5feet tank, shouldnt be much of a concern as your tank height is still ok imo. And may i know if your skimmer cup is below your tank water level. It should be above your tank water level. I guess u got no space moving ur skimmer upwards as u got a tank cover. Skimming will not work then..

Tank Theme: Mixed Reef with clams

3 feet tank with IOS

Eheim 1262

K3 wavemaker x1

Lightings: T5 actinic blue x4 , T5 white x4

Skimmer: BMQQ

Artica 1/5

Dosing: NA

Reefing is sharing. People with rotten mouth is sure a loser for life as expected. When a tomato gets rotten, you can nvr save it.. Throw it away before it infect the good ones.

Okay wow. Thanks for your help people!!

Without you guys pointing out my mistakes, I wouldn't know.

Hmm, the cap is above the water level, that's why I couldn't fill the water to the top):

Vivian coco ... U got the tank the wrong way .. Set it up the way i did .. And use the diy skimmer i gave u ... It actually works and its enough for the tank size ..

Hello xiggie! Ohh, thought of using that skimmer cause I have it previously for my nano tank. And then realized it's too big, so I placed it here.

This skimmer doesn't work?):

Haha, yaa. After filling up the water and stuff, then I realized that I've placed the tank wrongly.

Yep. Thanks for asking! Everything is going smoothly and corals are growing well(:

Updates on my tank! Corals opening up and zoas popping around the rocks! BT kept following the YT while it roam around the tank. Before my YT was added, the BT just stick with my clowns while they are hosting the mushrooms like a third party. Haha Might be upgrading my lights as it looks pretty small. Wonder isit enough for my tank ): ugu8y8u7.jpgegama5a7.jpgsevu2evu.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
