ATO bought from US

Hi all,

need some advise from the seniors here. I bought a ATO from Amazon and its 115v AC. Must i buy a transformer or can i use those travel adapter?

If transformer, where can i get them and roughly how much should i pay for it?

I know Home fix got sell the transformer. But the ato should be dc voltage. So once u know the dc specs, u can use a local 230vac transformer and modified the wiring.

Yes u need to use transformer but is not cheap. Last I bought mine for close to 100 buck at sim lim.

Wa boss, that is expensive. I bought a JBJ ATO from amazon. Can we use those normal converter like this one?

look at the power supply u currently have. Is there any printings such as input volt and output volt? The transformer pic u have seems to have 2 modes u can choose. So u need to have input 230vac and output 110vac. And yr ato's power supply can connect to it.

Its the JBJ ATO.

So the converter should be able to work isn't it? converts our 240v to 115v for the ATO?

There's only a cable coming out from the ato controller rite? No power supply. Local 230vac unit is just a 2 pin plug wire from ato controller. If tats the case, just plug in your ac to ac converter and select the 230vac to 110vac. It is best to use a multimeter and probe the voltage of the 2 pins and make sure it's 110vac before u plug in yr ato.

so everything turn out fine? I think the USA ato cost abt sgd 100. Sg selling abt 140+.

Have not go look for the converter yet. I got the ATO at $60++USD, and a TLF FR at $30++. Paid $110USD including shipping which i think is a good buy.

can go sim lim tower and ask. Maybe can get a reasonably priced one.

Sim Lim tower should have the auto trans. 230 to 110 or vice versa.
