Looking for people who can help me customize a aluminium reflector to hold 4 T5s. End caps will be the waterproof kind.

I just need the reflector done. Other parts I have. I'm mounting the end caps directly on a pvc casing which will be glued on the reflector.

Pls pm me your quotes. Thanks.

Oh yes..the reflector needs to hold 4 ft tubes. Best if around the edges of the reflector it can be bent downwards to about 80-90 degrees to minimise glare and to increase efficiency.

For reflectors (polished Al) you can call the following:

> Lim Eng Chuan

> Guan Seng Electrical Service Co.

> No.283, Kranji Rd, s(739515)

> tel: 62699453

they sell reflectors with different widths and lengths. Some come with adjustable widths to accomodate diff. nos. of tubes.

hope this helps.

The greatest advantage to T5 is their slimness which makes it possible to design reflectors to maximize light reflection. IMO a single reflector for all your bulbs will not utilize this advantage. With the cost of customization, you may be better off getting single parabolic reflectors for each tube. Besides local sources, you may want to consider shipping in SLS reflectors from the US....do the math, it may be more worth it than you think! ;)

Thought of this design for my reflector. I'm not sure on the bend angles though. Anyone can advise?

It would be 120cm long. waterproof end caps will be mounted on it via pvc cable casing.

part of the light is gonna reflect upwards.....

hmmm..ya..but wun it get reflected back down? My current reflector allows light to be reflected onto the wall at the back..that's why thinking of one whereby the light would be concentrated in the tank...which is actually only 1.5 ft wide. Don't want much of the lighting to go to waste
