Are PLC lights suitable for reef tanks

Just wondering, are 2 x 55W of 10000K enough to penetrate 18 inches into the water ?

just got 2x55W 3ft for $120.00 from Nature without the PL lights. He says he doesn't have the 55W 10000K PL lights.

Anywhere I can buy the 55W 10000K PL lights cheap ?

That one is a 24" light tube..

Tried with the home PL light 6500K .. what i see is that it creates a nice ripple cos is concentrated in a single location. Mushroom is ok and so are plants.

Problem is with the other corals. They all tend to close and withdrawl under the light. Have removed it since cos I am afraid will kill the other corals. The outcome after removal of the light is the other corals open up again and doing fine.
