possible orange spot filefish courtship behaviour?

Observed this strange twirling behaviour among two of my filefish, a male and female around 7-8cm in length. Is it the beginning of a courtship display?

Sorry to say but i dun think their courtship is like that. and they are not pelagic spawners iirc..

But you have done a very good job of keeping them.. Hope you got the correct ratio of male and female.. They are known to be vert aggressive to same sex..

yeah they only spawn on algae and stuff like that, but apparently they do something called a flutter dive and stuff, before the female grasps onto some algae and mating actually occurs.

mine were sometimes aggressive, but they have all gotten used to each other and don't show any aggression anymore

I believe the video might be signs of aggression.. The courtship is nothing like the video have shown.. And see if the female is gravid, it might cause some aggresion between the males..
