Need advice on 2nd hand tank

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I really need advice and some of your experience.

I about to purchase a 2nd hand tank. But i noticed that this tank haa been out of water /dry for quite sometime that the silicone has hardened , dont know what extent the damage is but if any of u guys have experience on this matter .. It would be a great help!!

Will it leak or worse burst open? If yes should it be repaired or can it be repaired ?

How? By just puting another layer or silicone over the exiating one or ?

Some advice would be great .. Its a 2.5,2,2 tank with 10mm glass ..

Harden most likely weaken liao. Not sure if it can hold but im sure its not worth to take risk. 2.5x2x2ft ft of salt water flooding ur living room is no joke.
