Martian
Hi... My Nodular Sea Star just wiped out my colony of Zoas... Anybody have the same experiences?
Saeight Abdul Rahman
I believed those starfishes do feed on soft corals.

Martian
Omg i didnt know sea stars eat zoas!!! thankz for the info I think only certain types of sea stars will eat Zoas coz my blue star has been with my Zoas for a long time and nottin happened... Not sure if my assumption is right though... Anyone senior reefers know...?
bane
Nodular or Chocolate Chip Starfish do eat corals. In fact I think its their standard diet. Read somewhere that rule-of-thumb for a starfish is that if they have legs the same width throughout - like Linkias then they are reef safe. Those with thicker legs at the body extending into thinner ones usually are trouble.
