liverocks

hi people im new in this hobby. my tank will be ready by this week and i went buying liverocks today! after buying i stored them in blue water drum with little NSW and cloth covering those rocks, will coraline die off on the rocks i bought? and will the rocks be dead? seniors pls throw me some advise!

Placing cloth on top to keep it moist is not enough as water circulation is needed. Either totally submerge your rocks or have a rain bar showering the rocks with nsw to provided circulation. The coralline will die if it can't get any light.

Don't worry about the coralline, it will grow back in no time if your tank is in good condition. I started my tank with bleached white Rock now all became purple already.

oh i didnt know about it. but it's just days also will? i fear my rock rot and become dead

If do as you mentioned, there are surely to be die offs. Then there would be little difference from starting your tank with dead rocks which are cheaper. Why we buy LR is to have a better start with the ANN cycle as the rocks already have beneficial bacteria colonizing it.
