thanks bro, i think i will go with ESV 2 part

Calculated 1 gallon($76) of each will probably last me 5-6months, and maybe $76 in alk and calcium powder can probably last me forever lol

But i dont mind paying abit more for the convenience and peace of mind...

Bro moonwater, just to share, you can use this to help you get ur parameters where u want initially. After that, just stick to recommended dose.

My 4 yrs of Reefing

From a 3x2x2 tank, down to 2.5x1.5x1.5. Soft corals ---> LPS corals---->Fowlr---->Mix reef---->Sps dominant

Plenty of ups and downs, but always a challenge. I enjoy this hobby alot. Went through refugium, deepsandbeds, barebottom, shallow sand, algae turf scrubbers, t5s, to halides, leds, reactors, mangroves, many types of macroalgae, plenty of addictives, itch phase, pest phase etc etc. Wonder how much I've spent on this hobby. hehe

Itching to upgrade to a bigger tank......arghhh

Happy vesak day one and all!

Adding on, also tried sump system, overflow system, IOS system, Canister filtration. Calcium reactors, Dosing units. Natural salt water (about 6 mths, every week carry jerrycan), Salt mix. Uv sterilizers. In sump skimmer, hang on board skimmers, carbon dosing, probiotic system. Coral chips, couple of different biomedias,....every year something new comes up, i guess thats the joy of this hobby as well. Maybe next aim will be a tank controller like neptune and FM or zeovit system.

Every system had its pros n cons i guess. I actually enjoyed trying the different types, most of them compliment each other. Theres the really expensive way and the simple way. Both ways work just as well, end of the day it boils down to tank husbandry.

Most noticeable change with using t5s supplement so far. Both shot under same led light intensity. Slightly tough to compare since one is top down (didnt have an old top down shot), and the right one has additional t5 bulbs switched on. But u can see the colour has changed a fair bit in all 3 corals. Including the tenius on the front.

So should i supplement my lighting? Hell yeah! (That said, I am using 10k led lighting, so maybe the 16k would turn out different)

Wow looks like u inspired so many others with ur maxspect t5 combo

haha, no la, I believe i'm not the first few to start t5 combo. Alot of hidden dragons out there have already done it for a long time now and had good success. Just sharing my own reviews so far. I'm glad other reefers are also jumping in.

If got money, I would switch to AI hydra, save the headaches. lol.

My two favourite fishes of all time. Glad they are best friends in the tank. Hope one day i can have a tank full of just these 2 species and maybe a small school of helfrichi with minimalist scaping!

I guess it's not hard to guess when you start something new, you do it with the same unyielding commitment, dedication and perseverance! Well done. Your employer must be very fortunate to have you as a staff.

Hey guys, so.....a crazy thought came to me the other morning. I'm thinking of creating a shallow lagoon tank. Simple design. As I'm only a student, I'm thinking of buying it part by part. Anyone knows any cheap carpenter that can make a 4ft long cabinet, hopefully it will be within my budget. Looking to do a 110x50x42 cm lagoon style tank. Any recommendation will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Long but not too shallow unless your width is wide so your scape have more dimension. Consider min 18" depth or if possible 20"

James
