Ken_ng
Got a newbie question. If I have one true perc in my tank, would it pair up with any that I buy or would they fight till death? Or Do I need to pair them my sexes? One true perc looks a bit odd in my opinion. Thanks

andrewttw
I had one ocellaris clown fish in my tank after its mate died. Bought another smaller one to replace it and the two clown fish just bonded like they were lost friends. No problems at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SRC Member Boonboy Posted February 22, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2014 I guess as long as you don't put 2 female together, it should be fine. If you put true and false clowns, they may still mate. Quote http://boonboyreef.blogspot.sg
Ken_ng
Why not too females together bro boon? They will fight? Thank you everyone! Just worried that they two will not get along
Sengreef
Female usually kill female & some time fighting between both male can killed too depends on luck ... getting a pair not necessary must pair up too but higher chances not killing each other ... SRC Member erikokelf Posted February 23, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted February 23, 2014 Bro keep the new one in beta box and try to get about the same size if not slightly bigger as the existing one surely is a female after one dead. Ken_ng
I just got a pair today. Fight and chase until like no tomorrow at first but now like a bit lesser already. Read online that it's necessary and normal because they need to establish the dominant and submissive r/s.. Should I be worried?
SRC Member erikokelf Posted February 25, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted February 25, 2014 Once one of them show submissive behavior and you are safe. The submissive behavior is like one will swimming by the side when one gets near. That's what happen to mine when i try to pair up with a existing clown that i have. p.tm
Yeah another submissive behaviour is showing its belly to the aggressor, or shaking its body
Ken_ng
Yeah they were showing signs of submission. Were because my skimmer overflowed and the water was fouled. They didn't make it. Sigh.
