water change/top up

Hi guys, I have heard that we should use RO water for top up or change instead of tap water. How do I get RO water in Singapore? Or is Singapore tap water ok? Will water conditioner used for those freshwater hobbyist help?

iirc, Singapore tap water TDS is normally range around 50-80 which is way to high for marine( FW not too sure)so using RO/DI filtering system is to reduce the TDS to 0.

You can get those 5 stages RO/DI Systems (ZeRO EX5) from Madpetz. Produce your own RO/DI water for water top up or mixed salt for water change as and when needed.

Distilled Water can be purchased..5Gallons which is cheap.

You could use bottle of 5Gallons two times for a water change since your tank is only 5Gallons

Reef tank?..better to use RODI water/ distilled water..

FOWLR?..no problem to use tap water with anti chlorine..

its better not to add any

if you MUST Use Tap..Leave Water Circulating A Few Days Before mixing salt..also makesure barrel/,bucket close to prevent contamination

some conditioners Are no good to Reef..
