water change/top up

iirc, Singapore tap water TDS is normally range around 50-80 which is way to high for marine( FW not too sure)so using RO/DI filtering system is to reduce the TDS to 0.

You can get those 5 stages RO/DI Systems (ZeRO EX5) from Madpetz. Produce your own RO/DI water for water top up or mixed salt for water change as and when needed.

Hope my explanation helps.

thanks for the reply! i am doing a small scale, low economic setup and dont think i can afford one of that. is there any other cheaper methods?

Distilled Water can be purchased..5Gallons which is cheap.

You could use bottle of 5Gallons two times for a water change since your tank is only 5Gallons

Cheers!

What water conditioners do you guys use when u use tap water? I know anti chlorine is a must. How about anti silicates? And any others?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

its better not to add any

if you MUST Use Tap..Leave Water Circulating A Few Days Before mixing salt..also makesure barrel/,bucket close to prevent contamination

some conditioners Are no good to Reef..

Cheers! ;)
