Lowest chiller temperature

Hi guys, I'm asking on behalf of a friend, who has access to certain cold water species and would like to maintain them in the aquarium.

Would a chiller (eg. Hailea Resun) be able to chill a 2x1.5x1.5 tank down to say 10 degrees and below? The surrounding temperature would range from 24-28 degrees. Also thinking of using styrofoam or some insulating material to insulate the tank.

Model of chiller, as well as tank specs and filter system are still being discussed, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go for drop in coil chiller instead of normal chiller which chill faster and more effectively.

Acrylic tank hold the temperature better than a glass aquarium tank. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the feedback, would using a regular chiller at 1/5 or 1/10 HP be out of the question? I'm not familiar with drop in coil chillers.

I think u will have to check the spec of the model of the chill if below 10degree setting is there.

I've seen several Hailea's (not sure which model) go down to 4 degrees. But I'm not sure it can chill to that temperature with the surroundings at 20-ish.
