Hi guys, I have a small 5gallon tank and wonder if there are any super small wave makers out there. I checked c328 cos I live in clementi and they only have those huge ones. And where can I get rotifiers to feed my sps? Thanks in advance. Still really new to reefing and the market!

I know the perfect wavemaker for tanks of this size. In fact, its actually a very small powerhead. I'm using one as well, I believe we have the same tanks judging from your tank pic in another thread.

The model of this powerhead is Boyu SP-101 (the smallest) if I'm not wrong. Cost about $5-$7 at PolyArt / C328.

How should we place the wave maker in our tanks? The best position? Put low and blow up against the glass? Or put high blowing low against the glass? Some ppl said that it will be good to blow at the back of the live rocks against the glass so that there will not be dirt or algae build up behind. True?

oh wait.. a powerhead is ok too? need not be those fan type wavemaker?

Since your tank only 5gal, you can buy those 200-400l/h mini pump to use as wave maker. So far the best, reliable and price affortable one is Tunze Universal pump Mini 5024.04 which I have one more than 4 years....price is SGD20 nia.
