My experience with Biospheres, they will disintegrate slowly until gone while removing NO3. You can replace new biospheres to ensure sufficient biospheres to tackle your NO3.

That's my understanding too. They will slowly dissolved. When you see the number reduce, time to top up new bio-sphere.

For rowaphos I basically test the input and the output from the FR. If the reading is high for both or the differential is near zero, time to change.

BTW, anyone know where to buy it other than ML?
