Guest
Click through to see the images. Fish on wheels This fascinating invention (and video) was shared via reddit. A fish (in this case a goldfish) is placed within a small acrylic tank mounted atop a mechanized electric four-wheel vehicle. Using a camera and vision software, a computer determines the direction a fish is aiming to swim towards and steers the vehicle in that direction! The inventors, Studio diip (short for "designing intelligent imaging products), built this concept vehicle to showcase potential applications for image recognition technology. Don't hold your breath for a commercial version of this product to hit the market, but just imagine where your favorite fish might roam if he had a ride like this! P.S. The inventors assure the goldfish is placed back into a larger conventional aquarium when he is done with his gran turismo driving session. SRC Member ml708 Posted February 11, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted February 11, 2014 I hope this isn't a stupid question, but if the water inside is well maintained, is it possible to keep a fish in there for life? since it gives it the illusion of being able to swim far. of course I am not referring to fish that require substrates and other more demanding conditions
