feeding methods with certain foods

Recommended Posts

alright. I just bought a slab of mysis shrimp and brine shrimp. do they sell frozen brine shrimp? I think they do. anyways I bought two slabs. and some seaweed for the tangs my girlfriend bought for me.

now now now. some questions. (=

do I just throw in mysis shrimps like that like what you would do with frozen bloodworms in freshwater tanks? or do I let it thaw first before throwing it in? and what if I wanted to feed it with garlic solution? do I soak the cube in it?

the same question can be asked for brine shrimps.

and also for the seaweed. you can soak it in garlic solution first right?

sorry for asking seemingly retarded questions. I came home and found two bags floating in my tank. and a packet of seaweed. urh. yeah.

and PS. I hope I don't get yellow carded for the topic. I don't know how else to put it.

Ah... How come must dry with toilet paper first?

I just normally break a cube into a container and 'melt' it either with your tank water or some freshwater (obviously treated or RO water, not tap water).

If you wanna add garlic solution, just pour a little into the 'melting' container and leave it for about fifteen minutes before you pour the food into your main tank.

As for nori I'm not sure if you can add garliuc solution to it but I bet that there'd be no harm done if you do so..

hmm I just encountered a very weird problem.

my tangs. seem to avoid the algae clip. like the plague. okay fine maybe because the tangs are relatively new. been around since Sunday only. but apparently they are only eating the seaweed if the seaweed has been fragmented from the main bunch. urh

any smart ways to counter it?

and another thing. my brown tang seems to be eating everything meaty I throw in. from cyclo to mysis shrimp. urh. is it normal? will they go bonkers if they continue doing so?

again I apologise for asking seemingly retarded questions. I didn't want these tangs but I just happen to see them in Coralfarm bags floating in my tank when I reached home. *mutters*
