hey bro...actually 28degreeC is still acceptable. but if can get it lower, y not?

if your corals are not doing well...get a fan pls....the corals will die if u dun...

wat kind of lights are u using? fan should be good enuf for pl and t5. as for MH, good luck, maybe i can go and haf bbq fish?? get the diy computer fan or ready-made clip on fan sold in almost all LFS...

go to yishun central, buy the one that costs $28. i m using it with my pl lights for my 3ft tank...temperature at 26-27degreeC...

if your tank is bigger than 3ft then i suggest you get 2 fans...or even the "6 fan combo" by ocean-free....

go yishun to buy those that cost $30. can't remember the shop name. $28 is no good quality. $30 better.

MH with fan is oki, but u need to top up water frequently.

28 is good liao. some with chiller setting that temperature.

one fan gives u drop of 2C, additional fan another 1C.

so onz n forth, diminishing returns. also the surface area

where the water can evaporate (n hence remove heat) is

fixed. Adding more n more fan, drop in temperature

becomes minimum. (after reaching optimal level)

I also using a $20+ fan from aquastar. Its those big commercial kind fan but with an added clip. Much cheaper that those oceanfree kind fans.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

My experience with MH and fan? Mine is a 150w MH light with a fan. The temp is always constant at 27degrees.

BTW my jewel coral, Yumas & mushrooms can even do well at 30+ degrees.. (That was before I blew the fan directly at the water) :P

If my tank can be placed in the coridoor outside my apartment i can use loads of MH without chiller. Those who came my place know why.. Once step out of my apartment it's freezing windy.

Always something more important than fish.
