Tentative Plans for my new tank

Its time for me to move house and upgrade to a new tank . I have dismantle my old 3ft setup completely and i wanted to start my 4ft from scratch. I didnt have the pleasure of setting up my 3ft tank since i asked some reefer to setup for me.

Rough Plan:

Tank(already placed my order..expecting on 28th Feb)

Main Tank - 4 X 2 x 2 ft

Sump Tank - 3.5 x 2 x 1.5 ft

No cabinet planning to use metal stand.

Equipments

Return Pump - Eheim 1262

Lights - 2 x 150W MH DIY

Wavemaker - Tunze 6060

Protein Skimmer - AquaC EV-240 or H&S or budget Marine Sources skimmer

Chiller - RR or Titanium or Pacific Cool(quite confused)

I have intend to go for LPS. My LS will be anthias,Tangs(i love tangs actually). Tang police...watch out for me in 2 months time.

Any suggestions or comments are highly welcome. I am following the footsteps of roidan(actuall he is my guru)

Hi,

just a suggestion, turn your sump the other way, so that the return pump piping need not go thru additional L-joint. You will have a higher return flow rate.

I am thinking of using the table cloth to cover the sump. So it will look neater.

Use pvc piping and eggcrate to stack your liverock. You won't need to buy so much then. Saves alot of $$.

Finally managed to get some live rocks from fellow reefers and kick started the cycle.

I have throwed in market prawn and it started to rot. But still my ammonia level is 0.

I have measured nitrite and nitrate also

Nitrite 0

Nitrate < 10 ppm.

Not sure whether my cycle started. Attached are the pics of the prawns
