some advice on current for my 2 feet cube tank

just added water and salt into my new 2 feet cube tank yest

and morning the reading was 1.021~~

just like to have some comments and advice on creating current

in my tank~~ The return pump i using now is is ehiem pump 1250

running at 1200 L/hr~~ just install one maxi jet 1600 running at

1110 L/hr attached on one side on the back of my tank~~ decide to buy another one to attached to the other side too~~

Just wonder is this a good way and enought to create a good current

for some of my future Sps~~

Do u have a sump tank to draw water back into the main tank? If yes, 1200L might not be sufficient as flow rate degraded along the pipes way to the main tank casing less water exchange rate.

if u got the money go for unze lor..

if not a close loop is also gd..

or easiest put some ph in your tank and use timer to switch it on and off...

Then in that case, get a higher flow rate pump and design the pvc piping with a check valve to control the flow into the tank to prevent future pump upgrading. This is wat happening to me now...upgrade and upgrade

It will be more easily to add in some strong powerhead or

worse to worse tunze? changing the pump again like...haiz

hmm add ph is easy but if u want to hide it then u have to start getting some LR to hide it..

and also depend on what stuff is in your tank.. else wait gatta suck by the ph..

so far at the moment, i am pretty happy with maxi jet~~ compact also~~and it come with good covering for the water intake pipe~~ small

enought not to trap fishes ~~~

guess just get another one and monitor the current and then

see how liao`~

another Q.. understanding that can use timer for ph to create

different interval current~~ wonder on and off too many times~ will this shorten the life span of the ph~~

anyone doing that at the moment ? care to share~~ thanks

yes it will...

think there is a limit of how many time u can on off the ph...

u can try 3 diff timing a day to on and off it...

e.g. 12pm all ph on...

then 3pm ph1 off... then 6pm ph1 on ph2 off... etcs
