SRC Member ml708 Posted December 27, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2013 Hi I have 2 toadstools on a plug, they opened fully and are much bigger than before to my surprise. In fact they are now rubbing against each other. I was wondering if its possible to pull them off the plug and transplant them on some live rock, but how do I do so? Thanks! SRC Member surreal1228 Posted December 27, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2013 Not suggest to take it out. Why not just glue the plug on rock? Quote :superman: :superman: :superman:
SRC Member ml708 Posted December 27, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2013 Can also but the space between the toadstools is really little to the point that they are pushing against each other, unless maybe I broke the rock in two and tried to glue separately I guess
SRC Member ml708 Posted December 28, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 28, 2013 Ok I managed to remove the corals from the plug. Just ripped them off actually. It was quite easy and the corals didn't really look very damaged at all. I will report back on how they are doing soon!
SRC Member ml708 Posted December 29, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 29, 2013 Well they look like they are doing fine! Polyps out and all that. Are they ok if I just skew the cap between two rocks? The stem is dangling freely. I want to do that so that I can move them easily if I want to instead of rooting them and having to pry them out.
