Hey ken, how is the temperature at this time of the month. Planning to start a 5ft fowlr without chiller. I don't think should be a problem after looking at your thread. House facing east so not very hot.

Hi bro, my tank temperature now at 29.4°c max without any cooling fan..all fishes doing well so far..I would try to keep it below 30°c..hope to see ur tank setting up soon..cheers

Just confuse as some say need and some don't. And also the color of fish will be affected due to tank without chiller. Any luck with angels at your temp?

Ok bro..there r a lot of saying n all setups r different..as for my tank, my 3 angels namely, emperor, Blueface n Lamarck r doing fine so far..colour is great..no any discoloration or anything..I dunnoe if give them cooler water they will glow anot la..haha..happy reefing

also depend on what type of fish you keep, some fishes color fades no matter what.

Added more sand n remove some rocks..my fish have more space to swim around now..

Thanks bro for the advise..anthias is hard to keep..I looking at adding flame angel for the red colour dimension..maybe flame angels..haha

Clear up the right side, your fishes will have more space. Remember fishes will swim in open areas. That y your fishes only swim infront n left side but not right side.

I agreed bro..the right side is now their sleeping area at nite..n hiding space during chasing..I will think of a way to create more rooms for them..now they r all crowding on the right side rocks below tunnel cave at night..wonder if too little rocks, how n where they sleep?..btw, my fishes always keep left is because food always drop from there..haha..cheers

U can always look for tall and thin rocks to build your caves. U have a 2.5ft width to play with, make good use of that. Why do a big tank but limit their swimming space. Cheers

Oh shit..my sea hare in sump go into my return compartment n committed suicide..it kana suck into my fluval sp6 15mm elbow suction pipe..lucky it Nber kana chop into pieces n go into my DT causing pollution..it's still suck at the elbow..I have replaced with another bigger 35mm elbow..surprise that the flow become more powerful..tml when I wake up, shd b seeing botak patches on my sandbed liao..

You rescape again lol ..agree with bro V-tech , you have more space for them to swim on the left but your right side still a little pack , understand that you care about your fishes to sleep at night , but you can try to create bigger cave.. They will still find their way to sleep no worries and will look nicer Cheers

The right side biggest rock is home to my bi-colour Blenny now..planning to add more small fishes so the many holes of the big rock shd b great for them..midas blenny is a must..haha..cheers
