chinmo, your nursery looks more like out of science fiction movie where they clone lives. You group them by batches on date of birth ?

You use PVC pipes are partition ?

What are tank setup, water parameters and basic requirements for the bb SH nursery, ie, saw some air tubes, etc. ?

if able to clone, then keeping SH or raising the fries would't be so much fun then.

erm...... the pvc on the bottom of tank is to make the fish bowl higher... is tat u talking abt?

water paremeters shld be very bad, i have nt change the water since last week, ang mo suggest change water 2-3 days one time, quite ex to do water change, some more don have tat much time also. setup is like setting up a marine tank. there's 3 air tubes, 2 at the side of the fishbowl oozing bubbles to create the washing machine effect, so as to keep the fries alway from surface. 3 tube is from a overflow filter, "CLEAN" water is being returned fron the filter box to the fishbowl to constanlty exchange water in the fishbowl. u guys understand wat i explaining?

Hi chinmo,

Congrats on managing to keep them alive and feeding so far.

Do keep a log book (pictures, nutrition, behaviour, sleeping habits, other special features and requirements) for them and possibly share in reef-breeding sites as we do have a lot to learn on captive breeding of marine animals.

Hi Chinmo,

To my understanding. If the SH flies 'ma-di' in 2-3weeks time period, usually the main causes should be the water qaulity issues and not the food supply. This was what happened to my few batches of H.Redi flies too. The longest btach only able to live 4weeks and all die within a day. Currently, I have only one (not H-Redi, normal H.come) still heathy till today (2mths old). Hope to cross the 3rd mth......Still finding way to improve the water quality method. I lost another batch this week.

chinmo, my condolences to your baby SHs.

Should do a review such as check water para as what ong mentioned or any other possible reasons for the mass deaths. We are learn from each failure and come out all the wiser for the subsequent batches.
