Setting up tank procedure

As the title mention, can fellow reefers guide me on how to start setup marine tank? I have the following questions,pls advise

1) Add water in tank and add salt to mix inside the tank or pre mixed then add in the tank?

2) Add water first or rock first or sand first? What is the correct order?

3) I was thinking Deep Sand Bed, is it more beneficial or just normal sand bed better?

4) Where can i get NSW near Jurong? Any bros living here can advise?

3) Deep sand bed is good but over year it become time bomb so not really recommand. If you want just put deep sand bed in sump refguim.

4) If get yourself can get from LCK at lim chu kang. Per pack $2 around 20 litre.

I gona use DI water, still consider getting NSW from LFS or mixing my own water. I see so 2inch of sand bed will enough for normal? Do LCK provide container?

Oh okie salt mix will be better. If you want to cycle fast dose bacteria daily for 1 weeks. Don't go above 2 inch.

Whats the difference between 1 stage, 3stage and 5 stage RO/DI unit?

Actually to secure the rocks, it is better to put rocks first then sands.

If sand first then rock, when you start keeping sand shifter / dweller the rocks become unstable and can collapse.

3 stage normally is sediment > carbon> di

5 stage normally is sediment > carbon > carbon > ro > di

U can call lck see if they provide nsw delivery including topping up To tank for you. Last time they do, not sure about now.

Strongly suggest doing away with sandbed if you don't mind. Everyone likes clean white sandbed that mimics the oceanbed and looks more natural, but the reality is you will probably be fighting all sorts of algae growth like diatoms, red slime to name a few.

Anyway to answer your qn: the easiest method would be add 1)sand, 2)scape rock, 3)NSW delivery. Just push the rocks deeper into the sandbed to prevent them from sand shifters.

If you are using salt mix, unless you have a huge container to mix your salt (or its a nano tank), most likely is add 1) water into tank, 2) mix salt, 3)sand, 4) LR.

If you are not going for SPS, strongly suggest going through NSW, less hassle and hard work. Check with LCK if they do delivery.
