Deltec skimmer impeller keeps getting stuck!

My deltec skimmer impeller keeps getting jammed by calcium deposits in the tank. For some reason calcium levels are always dropping despite constantly high alk and mg levels, which results in me adding a lot of calcium to the tank very often.

Anyone encountered similar issues and know how to resolve?

Can you try adding the calcium away from the skimmer intake ?

This could be a reason why the impeller is stuck .

To increase ca level u have to bring down ur kh and bring up both ca n kh again. Slowly.slowly.

U search ca kh balance u will know more.

Calcium deposit will not be good to any equipment, regardless what brand.

Try to lower your MG make sure MG below 1400 it will help in calcium deposit. Does you has alot of clam if you do they might be the source that consume.

I keep mainly sps, but then again calcium dropping by 50 per day is crazy haha

If u r not running CA reactor or dosing pump it normal actually. So it best to get CA or dosing pump
