Minimizing losses during rescape.

May i ask how or what do you do , steps taken to minimize losses ( fish , coral and invertebrates ) when rescaping especially when your tank is filled with livestock ? Looking forward to all your opinions and advises

for me i'll try my best not to stir the sand so much if u have sand. may cause nitrate spike.

not to stress the fishes so much, avoid accidental hit to them.

Valuable livestocks, especially fish/inverts/frags I will usually transfer them into a separate container of tank water before rescape.

Add them back into tank once everything settles down.

hi bro, like veliferium said, I had put my livestocks into a bucket with as much tank water as I can fill, quickly do the rescape without trying to disturb the sand too much, wait for the water to settle and look clean and then put the livestocks back. I also did a small water change after as well. Had not experience any issues.

My advice is to have a game plan as to where you want what rocks to go where and stuff before starting so that you can do it quicker.
