Green Cateye releasing eggs !

Caught this on camera last night.

My green cateye started to release eggs and all the fishes were having a big buffet eating all those eggs.

yup, i sure his water quality must be in really good condition...else why wouldnt all my bubble would have been "pang pui" liao

Actually the lights were due to go off in ten mins and very lucky to have caught this act in action.

Was it a full moon last night ?

There was too much movement and couldn't really capture a good shot.

I don't really bother much about my water parameters except regular feeding.

Hopefully can catch my acroporas and maximas "pang pui" also.....

I think everynight is full moon if you leave your house light on.. Hehehe.. Everyday also sun shine brightly.. No rain, no monsoon.. no oil polution... Hehehe

very simple. a catseye has a white stripe over every single bubble of the coral. yrs & harlequin one dun have, so it is definately not a catseye.

Bubble or cat's eye are just the common name of the coral. They are of the same species but different variants or morphs.

I see. I had this impression that cat's eye was a name for Nemenzophyllia turbida aka fox coral and thus the confusion.

Catseye is sold at a much higher price than normal, so knowing how to differ is gd so pple won't get cheated. hahaha.

read that you mentioned that cateye only 1 white stripe .... don't c it in the 3 pics .... only have white patterns on the bubbles when they are extended .... can post pics of a "REAL" Cateye then ?

catseye require more lights. the rest is the same as any other bubble coral.

I believe there's the other one known as pearl bubble - slightly elongated having 2-3 bubble-like extensions instead of a singular baloon-like bubble.
