Advice needed!!

May i know whats the market price for 3ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft rimless tank with 6/8mm glass thickess? is 6mm thickness enough or should i go for 8mm?

Rimless means that you do not have any brace at the top of your tank to hold the front and back glass which are parallel to each other. For my FW tank, with 8mm, I can see the glass slightly bend. Therefore, the safest thickness of glass for saltwater which is slightly heavier than FW will be min 10mm. My current 42cm cube tank is using 8mm glass.

from experience, 3ft should go for 10mm with bracing or 12mm without bracing at least.

the cost should not be too much of a difference. anyway in the beginning I too wanted to get a thinner glass because i thought it would be cheaper but the tank maker would not entertain that suggestion. Especially after I said it was for marine. Better to be safe than sorry later on.
