Hi all, where do you get shells for hermit crabs from? Idk if its legal to take from the beach, though id prefer doing that

Im looking for the same too...

Is picking up from the beach safe? If you had no problems before, maybe i can go try it out as well... So far after walking down at east coast park beaches and at pasir ris i havent come across much of these shells for hermits.

I also doubt we can use land hermit crab shells?these are easier to get/buy.. Any thoughts?

I wont use them cos land shells are usually colored. This coloring blocks some pores in the shells and is slowly absorbed by the crab. It isnt good for them
