How do you know that your clam not looking happy is due to lack of feeding? Have you considered water quality, lighting, irritants, etc?

I'll help you out on feeding. If you are intending to target feed your clam, get a plastic tank (those cheapo $2++ kind) and cover your clam by inverting the tank over it on the sandbed. Squeeze phyto under the tank to confine it close to the clam. After 10-15 minutes you might want to let in some new water and feed again, or you could do it another day. I did it once everyday for my 1.5 inch clam. Now it has grown bigger I don't do it anymore. ;)

Always something more important than fish.

Will certainly try out this method. I'm a little confused on this - is phyto, DT ? If yes, do I need to dilute or straight from the bottle? Very green hobbist.

i tot clams feed to nitrate in the water? pls confirm this as I read this some where.......:blink::blink:

zero NO3 reading on home test kits is more than enough for clams.

NO3 as a sole food. NO!

Clams to help lower NO3, (very expensive theory if u wanna try it out)
