how many pair of clown can be keep?

(People may kill me for saying this) what I found is that with multiple anemones or hosting softies you can keep more clownfish together. Caves also work too, but they hose corals and anemones more often than caves. With the anemones they will only be territorial to the area surrounding their anemone, not the whole tank and would fight less

no worries i think. so long as they arent the aggressive ones like maroon n tomato.

I m keeping three pairs! Same tank size..shouldnt be a problem..

My black ice will disturb my platinums occasionally but most of the time, they will jus hang around their territories..

I think it's all up to luck. I got a friend who kept 3 clown together in a small 2 feet tank and they have never fight.

Btw he kept false perc.

IMO, monitor closely the fightings... if it gets brutal, ie non stop attacking... then choose which pair to go. I have a pair of tomatoes and a pair of maroons... they do fight lightly occasionally but now they only fight for food... well as some said... depends on luck.

Most of the clown species when they in pair they will fight for dominant for the anemone. If pair is aggresive remove the dominant clown and you may have some peace until the clown grow bigger. If got more food they may not fight with each other. If bigger tank the issues is less they can have their own corner.
