Where are all the cheaper clams ?

Hi bros, im not a pro in clams, but used to buy those from iwarna and aquamarin for about $20-30.

I dont know whats the name but i cant seem to find them anymore.

clams cost at least 100 now. no lfs bring them in anymore ?

i bought a squamosa (around $40) from ah beng couple months back.. that was the only clam shipment i saw from ah beng from apr 13 till now.

You may like to check out Aquamarin again. I saw a few (crocea/maxima) yesterday. The price is affordable (< $100).

Last week I went aquamarin. There is a very nice maxima at 55 bucks. I almost bought it. But didn't coz long day ahead. Cannot risk it inside my car

Haha, the clam is very nice and out of my budget. If I buy that, my wife will kill me and say "you should buy a bag for me instead of the clam".

True, all the cheap clams are gone, perhaps is no longer profitable for farms to bring them in. I only manage to get my clams from fellow reefers who give up their hobbies..

Just gotten a crocea from aquamarin at 35 bucks, about 3 inch across. Still got about 5 more I think. Just nice to fit my nano tank!

Have not open fully yet and can see abit torn at the right side. Probably nip by fish? The birdnest on the right is dead due to me overdosing seachem paraguard wiping out and damaging a few corals and fish in my old tank.
