Changing 150w MH to a 250w MH...

Ermm... I am thinking of modifying a viclite 150w MH to a 250w MH... I know I need a 250w Ballast with Ignitor and Capacitor... Can I use the existing bulb holder or do I need to change one... Can all diy gurus pls advise... Thkz...

all i know is that mine is using E40 holder for 250 SE bulb

Oh forgot to mention is double end (DE).... Thkz...

You need to change ballast to 250watt model. The bulb holder have to change from Rx7s into Fc2 socket. Take note that 250w bulb is around 2-3cm longer than 150w bulb hor.
