MrSalty
After try & error (a lots of errors) on trying to convert my previous 4x2x2, no sump tank into a marine tank, the tank crashed and I had to temporary transfer the remaining lifestock into a small 2ft tank while saving up for a proper setup. After researching much & learning from the sifus here, I ordered a 4x2x2 tank and it finally came on 31 Oct 2013 - my treat for Halloween Here's the tank spec: Tank: 48" x 24" x 24" Sump: 36" x 20" x 16" Theme: Mixed reef tank Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 7 Lighting: 1 Maxspect Razor 160w Return pump: Jebao Dc 6000 Wavemaker: 1 x Jebao Wp25 (may get 1 more in future) FR: FR 30 with biopellet Refregium: Chaeto with miracle mud Sand: Caribsea black pacific live sand (just 1 inch) Chiiler: Hailea HS-66A (still in box) Added a few pieces of live rock to the dry rocks from the last tank crash & the tank is into its 8 day of cycling. That's all now ...pls feel to comment
kirbysjb
Nice write up bro! The scape is beautiful too. Think u can add one more wp25 each on both ends using w1 with s1-2. Thumbs up!

Thanks bro wp25 is at w1 with s-2 now. Ok, will get 1 more when cycling is complete - use Else mode on 2nd wave maker for random effect?. but not sure wave makers are better to placed at opposite ends or same end.....any advice ?

kirbysjb
Sure, why not? Play with the modes to have random flows which many corals would like =) Seen many put on each end to create turbulence wave effects.

SRC Member Underwater Posted November 11, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted November 11, 2013 Nice scaping. And I just changed to the same pump as yours - jebao dc6000. Excellent pump and can choose different flow rate w different power watts. Even max at 6000 l/hr the consumption is only 40 watts!
