SRC Member Quas111 Posted November 7, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted November 7, 2013 Hmm 10kg sand for 5 feet seems quite less, but it may work depending on the type of sand. And for lighting why did you choose 2x120w razor? Just curious cos quite recently a 300w razor was released. Oh and what pump are you gonna up through the chiller? Good luck with your new tank
SRC Supporter ReDDeviLs Posted November 7, 2013 SRC Supporter Share Posted November 7, 2013 what is 1 x Hydra filter and Stream? 1264 alone may not be enough depending on what you will be keeping in future. what pump will u use to run chiller? depend on what media you are using, uv may not be suitable. blackcell
what is 1 x Hydra filter and Stream? 1264 alone may not be enough depending on what you will be keeping in future. what pump will u use to run chiller? depend on what media you are using, uv may not be suitable. The hydra stream is filtering system for overly populated tanks with heavy feeding and heavy bio-loads, prevention of New Tank Syndrome especially in Marine tanks application, it help to condition pristine water to low level Ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. It is used as an enhancement to the main filtration system. As for the pumps, we using 1 for everything. Is this not enough ? Still very new for this. I am Depending on my supplier advise. He suggest using the uv light too. What do you think ? Quote When you fish for love, bait with your heart, not your brain
SRC Member erikokelf Posted November 8, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted November 8, 2013 Looking at the equipment, i also think single pump won't be sufficient unless is those very high powered one. But from your equipment list, seems like a big project is coming up. Do I still need another pump for the chiller, I thought can just use the same pump. I feel placement is important too. I need to study it more once the coral is onboard.
