Hi guys,

I have some extra liverock that am not sure where to place in the sump. Currently place in refugium but the chaeto not tumbling because of this.

Should I place them at the inlet compartment?

The skimmer compartment too cramp to put the rocks. The return pump area may not be a good choice too. As it may impede the return pump functioning? Or should I just remove them altogether.

I have the same problem with you so IMO, I just place the LRs in my refugium. Chaeto is good to have but I think it's not a must since you'll be doing WC periodically anyway so I left them out. You can also use smaller LRs for your refugium and make another compartment there for your chaetos if you like... Above is just my opinion only...

I will recommend to place it in the refugium. The return pump should be clear of any items as I feel that water pumping back into the main tank should be clean without debris.

Tank: 3.5ft x 2ft x 1.5ft, 12mm

Sump: 3ft

Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 7

Lightings: Maxspect 15000k

Return Pump: Eheim 1252

Wavemaker: Jebao WP25, Jebao RW-8
