u just have to ensure that the railing can hold the weight of the lightset. some lightset can be pretty heavy.

do check on the cable length also (between the lightset and ballast/driver) to see if the length is sufficient when the tracks are stretched out to the max.

but what's the purpose to have the sliding track ? i'd love to have the feature to adjust the height rather than sliding in/out.

Noted with your comment. I change water from top of tank and sliding make easy for me plus my itchy hand like to do scaping.

i'd raise the light higher than sliding in. i raise my light 40cm above the water and have enough clearance to do the maintenance.

I had thought of that too. I had play around the hanging kit and i need to press the set screw and lift 1 side at a time. Thought of sliding cause just slide once and im ready to go. Lazy people mah.

Hi bro. Note of the cantilever effect. Teck Cheong do sell the angle bracket for profile. The last thing you want to see is the lighting becoming submarine.

The arm will stretch 150mm and there will be 2 arm and the led light weight is not more than 2kg. No idea whether will it hold but will test before mount it to cabinet. Worst case add a extended support to the right angle of the 2 arm.

Is this angle bracket mention? I brought numbers of it however it seem to be small. I intend to make using the aluminium bar with longer length and drill hole to screw it on the arm.

Get the 80x80 right angle bracket size for the angle support. A bigger web. It's better than the 40x40.

Get the tee screw with nuts. They come in a set. All can get from Teck Cheong. happy profiling...

Yup that bracket will work but too bad i buy the 20x20 bar. Likely i had to make the bracket myself.

Looks good. What is the total cost?

Less than $120. The 2 length of the alu bar is abt 50% of the total cost. Plan wisely for the accessories if you into it.
