Dispar Anthias

I just checked with our Resident Dispar Anthias a few days ago, he says it is alright :lol:;) he has also a few male anthias(hmm...somehow what I said sounds weird :eyebrow: )

anyway how to tell the diff which is male and female..?

I also want to know is there a way to differenciate between male and female.

Last night saw my dispar bit one each other at the mouth!!

Male is in pinkish colour, while female is in yellowish colour, nicky bro juz got a pair, u might wan to ask him to post the pic. :lol:

obviously they are fighting.. they fight like bettas.. funny.. :lol:

I got 3 female and 1 male dispar few days ago. But they seemed refused to eat. :(

Just swimming ard the tank. Saw they eat copepods on the sandbed only.

I tried to feed them with cyclopeeze.

Cyclopeeze should work. I also feed them the flake cyclopeeze. they also gobble.

but I think most important if you have other anthias in your tank that are feeding well. They tend to follow. My dispars follow my bartlets and truncate when feeding.

I saw your recent photos.. they should be males. The most brilliant ones are the alphas.

Take a look at my dive photos of them in the wild. The colours are far out! My Sipadan dive trip photos.
