Care for Christmas Tree Worms

Hi bros,

I need some advice with regards to keeping Christmas Tree worms. Since they always come with a live colony of Porites coral, does that mean the Porites have to be kept alive to maintain the Christmas Tree worms? If it dies, the Christmas Tree worms die with it?

Not really as the coral only offers protection rather than nutrition

If the porites dies off, its a sure thing that the worms die as well.

So far from what I know in the wild it co-exists together. But even if the hard coral on the exterior dies it does not affect the christmas tree worms.
