Hiding Anemone

Hi guys, my newly bought rbta is now hiding when I bought the fellow he is bleached and about fist size. 1 day later it gain the "red" but looks shrunk.

I'm running 4xT5HO 2ft ATI my tank is only a 34L.

if you have a bleached anemone, you HAVE to feed it something, preferably market prawns. What do you feed (or plan to feed) it? If you don't feed it it will start "melting" and your tank will smell worse than shit(trust me, been there before:() so you should start trying to feed it. Did you acclimate it too? If you didn't it may be shrunk due to light shock or the wrong concentration of salt in its body(so it's struggling to maintain it's chemistry without dying) hope what I said helps and your anemone gets better soon! If your anemone is recovering it will gain more color and open up more, and also have a "fleshier" look to it

Thanks you. I'll lower my lights to two tubes then most likely due to light shock.

haha mussel is quite ex and need a lot of $$$ in long term But if you have a slightly bigger budget you can use mussel as a staple diet. If I'm not wrong, both of them have about the same nutritional value though, that's why I still use prawn haha

My RBTA only opens when my lights are off. Else it will close when the lights are on. The bubbles also recede during lights on. But the tentacles have red/purple points when the lights are on.

My pink RBTA same same. The best/nicest part is when it shrink to 10cm dia while lights on with a playing clown. When dark, it become a big ugly hungry monster .
