Hmmmm....try firefish!Triggers are also a must have for a big tank!I don't have a big tank but still have trigger...:paiseh:

Maybe Angels?Flames are nice...or a queen.Or maybe add a school of chromis.

Just some suggestions....

haha I'm sorry bro but don't expect your corals to survive with most triggers and nearly all angels. They tend to bite the corals for food

Ok I have a lot of suggestions for you :P I'm not sure if the images will come out in sequence but I hope they do :/ btw the images are all found from the Internet :P

Firstly, you could get a small blue damsel. They are one of the least aggressive damsels I have seen, and like the company of fish. Posted Image I personally prefer the cyan version :D

You could get a canary wrasse too. They are easy eaters but they need a 2 inch sand bed to sleep in (mine does idk about others). An issue you will face with them is that they eat copepods, like mandrin. They will most likely eat different types of food but keeping mandrins with them will become a bit more challenging :(Posted Image

Another good fish for beginners is the fire fish. Initially they will be shy and hide in caves but once they are comfortable you will see them in the open areas a lot Posted Image

Chromis is also a good fish for beginners, but they're not really my favorite. I'll still recommend them to you due to how easy they are to keep. Just be careful not to overstock or they'll kill each other Posted Image

A nice fish would be a bi-color dotty. They hide in caves and come out sometimes, and only one can be kept a tank. I love their color combo :)Posted Image

One of my favorite tiny fish are chalk basslets. They're super cute and they can be kept in large schoolsPosted Image

You could keep cardinal fish, but I don't recommend the "panda" version unless you can breed them cause they are near extinct, and buying it will only increase demand for them

One of my last suggestions is the algae/sailfin/lawnmower Blenny. It's super funny to watch and has a lot of personality in your tank. I recommend it for beginners cause it helps to keep the algae in the tank low, but you won't be able to keep it alive once you get better at reefing. This is probably the only fish I only recommend beginners take (and not pros) cause they need a constant supply if algae

Hope this was useful for you! There are a lot of websites which has already covered the topics of "beginner" fishes. I listed all the "beginner" fish I enjoyed the most, but everyone will have their own opinions :D

happy reefing~

Hi Quas, actually I plan keep rabbit foxface, blue tang, flame angel and lemon peel. Are they no easy to keep?

I have not much experience with them, but one fish you should avoid for beginners is the fox fish, mainly cos it is poisonous. You could try the rest, as everyone has to start from somewhere! I guess the easiest to keep from your list would be the blue tang, but be sure to have some ick medicine on hand. Try to keep the blue tang for about 3 weeks to a month before you try to add more fish. This will help you gauge the care level needed to keep them others alive.

Hi Quas, just read ur post, know u are plan to set new tank. Is it ur first or second tank?

Second :) Third time setting up though :) I'm switching tanks due to lousy equipment and a lack of space. My current tank looks terrible due to a lack of time for maintainance (O's coming soon :/) so I have no choice haha. Thanks for asking!

Just done my water test, tmr go plan buy 2 blue tang first, cheer......

woah bro slow down :) tangs poo a lot so you should try only one first. You could in the meantime get a goby, some smaller fish like fire fish or some crustaceans. By getting 2 powder blues (or pacific haha) you're increasing your bioload very fast. You can take the risk but IMHO it's not worth it :)

Quas, how about cleaner shrimp or turbo snail? Or put 4 or 5 chromis?

Can also. All have little bioload  Chromis is a schooling fish so if your tank has space can get more and will have very nice effect when they try to avoid (or come to) you :) can try get other schooling fish also :P but must make sure have space!

Oh and if you have turbo snails must make sure they have some algae to feed on! I have heard of them dying in super clean SPS tanks due to a lack of algae. Usually home aquariums should have enough algae :)

Quas, how ur project going on? Decided any light set?

Im probably going to stick to led, but I am deciding between 2 Pharos 90w sets, 1 razor maxspect, (most likely maxspect due to $$$ reasons) and I am also deciding if I should supplement the tank with Par38 LEDs ^_^ Currently I am not doing any planning and I am focusing more on my exams, so my current project has stagnated :cry2: Ill start making purchases early next month :D Thanks for asking!

(btw next time maybe we could chat through the forums chat system  ! I don't want to hijack your posts :pirate: )
