I have a similar issue in my current tank. Bought 2 peppermint shrimps to try 2 days ago. Will report back on status after a week. So far not too promising as they are in hiding most of the time. Not sure if berghia nudis might help as I thought they control flatworms mostly? Might be wrong

Mellow,

There have been mix reviews of these peppermint shrimps consuming glass anemones.

I have one in my tank for about 3 weeks, which it never touch them. I guess once they were introduced tasty fish food, they will forget about the anemones.

I subsequently tried berghia (have to remove peppermint), too bad i only bought one for my 50gal system. No sign of missing anemones . I guess probably need a group of few to be effective.

Any idea what type of reef-safe fish/inverts will eat these buggers? I have a peppermint shrimp but apparently he's not doing the job. null_zpsc40665df.jpg
Peppermint might not eat if those anemones are big. Injure them with sharp object. Those injured ones will entice peppermint to eat them.

oh yeh i totally forgot about filefish ! i think they are easier to catch out from the tank. Does yours nip on ur corals ?
I think very much depends on your luck. I once owned a seagrass filefish, which is suppose to have an appetite for aiptasia, but ended up eating up my zoas.

So far it seems ok but like what some bros said, it might be a hit or miss affair when it comes to them eating corals. Ah Beng shared that it sometimes also has a liking for brain corals.. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and monitoring very closely
