For 2' cube tank owner

Hi 2' cube tank owner,

 

I noticed that many of us are owning 2' cube tank and it is good that we share what combination of fishes and stock level  work for this limited size of tank so pls share what you have for everybody's information.

 

I will start with what I have:

 

1 - small true percula

1 - medium PBT

1 - small flameback

2 - small and medium royal gramma

1 - medium midas blenny

1 - small possum wrasse

 

in my list to add:

1 - true percula to pair with my existing one

1 - small flame for small bio-load

1 - small potter angel

 

 

Added:

1-mandarin (from peong)

1-cleaner shrimp

1- fire shrimp

W/ me for almost 1.5 months:

3 pair of clown and 10 chromis.

But the clown attack the 10 chromis since day 1.

So now left 3 pair of clown.

Should I try to add in Chromis again?

1 CURVE 7 Skimmer

  1 DIY 80 led control by Bluefish mini 

1 radion XR30W G2, 2 Radion XR15G3

Sump area lite by 5 ft T5 , 6 * SSC 3 watt red LED for refugium

1 Full spectrum E27 led light

1 CR control by bubble count

Start No Water Change since 1st Dec 2016

Add new 2.5x2x 1.5 ft

Introduce school of XL chromis and see who whack who...LOL!

Stock list since last update on feb 14 (no casualty so far):

1 - small true percula

1 - medium PBT

1 - small flameback

2 - small and medium royal gramma

1 - medium midas blenny

1 - small possum wrasse

1-mandarin (from peong, >7months)

1-cleaner shrimp

1- fire shrimp

New addition(last night)

1 - small tail spot blenny (not seen since this morning)

1 - small red ruby dragonet (not seeing any agression from tankmates, specially mandarin)

Finally, the tail-spot blenny came out in the open. It so small that you may not notice in the first pic.

All more than 1 year unless specified otherwise):

1 percula clown

2 gramma loreto

1 midas blenny

1 possum wrasse

1 spotted mandarin

1 clear shrimp

1 fire shrimp

1 Longnose hawk(5 mo)

1 Pictus blenny (5mo)

1 yellow tang (2mo)

1 potter angel (2 mo)

1 small blue tang (2 mo)

1 red ruby dragonet (1 week)

1 flame angel (1 week)

Lost or sold:

Pbt - became too bg so sold and replaced w yellow, blue, and potter.

Tail spot blenny - sold and replaced with pictus blenny

Flameback angel - trapped in overflow and died

Red ruby dragonet - died for unknown reason.

Fish to be added:

Flame hawk and red mandarin

Wow ur 2 ft tank with all these fishes? May I check how offen u do water change? I'm also having a small tank where I love both fish and coral. Really keen to know how to maintain. Many advise given to me not to keep too many fishes. Thanks
