ATB phosphate remover, does it really work in removing no3?

Does it really remove it ? Anyone tried ?

Humble tank :

Size: 4x2.5x2 ft - Display 

Equipment :

Return 1 : Ecotech marine L1

Return 2 : Ecotech marine M1

CR : Skimz CM122 - Caribsea extra course media with Grotech magnesium

Light : ATI 8x54W

It is basically ferric oxide, which may help to reduce ammonium production and indirectly reduce no3, but it is doubtful whether it actually lowers no3 significantly.

One way it may help no3 is through its many anaerobic surfaces for denitrification, but we probably need a large volume of these and a really slow flow rate.
