will tank have any disadvantage or advantage if its located in a area whereby there isnt natural sunlight 24/7

With Sunlight

Advantage:

-Faster growth for some corals

-Brighter lighting

Disadvantage:

-Discoloration of lights

-Huge algae growth, and hard algae on glass isnt easy to remove

-Added heat to the tank. My tank rose from ~29dc to ~32dc. Wrecked all my corals

-Causes cheap china leds with no proper heat circulation to overheat, causing leds to become less bright

-a lot of evaporation. Imagine adding 5l a day to a 24g. Thats a lot of water in longterm for such a small tank

-for some unknown reason some fish get lethargic when they were under the sun

- if you prefer viewing your corals at night, you can't as the lightcycle for them would become too long and you end up having to synchronise leds with the sun

Source - experience, from moving my nano from the living room to beside the window

Its probably obvious that I hate the sunlight lol it caused more problems than benefits for me
