Pls help ID this

May inknow whay are these white stuffs growing on my live rocks? Its the 3rd or 4th day of my tank cycling and I see these growing . Should I remove it or leave it.

Aim and achieve.

It is probably bacteria biofilm or some die-off. You can gently brush them off using a tooth brush.

Is it okay if i just leave them in the tank? Will it cause any harm to fishes or corals in the future?

This is very common in new tank, for the next stage, you will liking encounter hair algae, diatom etc. Some reefers prefer to leave them alone but for me, I prefer to brush them and let my filtration system export out.

Those that advocate leaving them alone feels that brushing them may lead to spreading to other parts of the tank.

I have tried different ways and find that brushing them away works better for me.

Ur tank is still cycling...be sure to test water before putting livestock

agree. be patient is one of the key on marine fish keeping. all the best and enjoy !!

Thanks. Will all these white stuffs go away on their own? It's growing all over and almost my whole rock is covered with it..
