Sump for my 3ft tank.

May I know the size of the sump I should get for my 3ft x 1.25 x 1.25 tank? What else do I have to get after getting a sump?

do you have a cabinet for your tank? if you have, then sump length should be shorter and narrower then display tank.

If you don't have a cabinet, then size is not a problem.

I will go for almost the same volume of your display tank.

Lesser volume of water also means harder to control water parameter.

Size also depend on what equipments you want to house.

Careful selection of skimmer, return pump and type of media and other add on like the biopellet etc.
