All pipings and electrical wirings are self made. I guess that's the whole joy and fun about setting up. It took me a good 2 weeks to have the flow pipes done!
What's even more rewarding is having everything work the way I planned it to be!

Funny, I'm only able to upload lower res pictures...

Had my load distribution assessed by a structural engineer. Condos are not built to withstand such weights. Had reinforcement steel bars drilled down into the concrete slab. That's why you see a raised platform!!

For those who plan such a tank, please always get someone to look at the structural integrity of your unit! HDB's and Condos are rated for ~200Kg/sqM

Looking good. Very generous with your unions and valves. Is there a distro there for these type of fittings?

Sent from my Android using Tapatalk2

Haha... Well, perhaps i'm a lill' careful. I planned the the pipings with the intention of flexibility. I need to have the option for change in future. N

Not really a trend here, in fact, many in MYS wouldn't have done what I have done.. I have yet to see a setup similar to mine...

The first thing out of their mouths when they saw my pipings were ... " what if they leak?!?! "...Well, my answer to them..... " it better not leak then! "

Do give me your opinion...

It took me a good 6 hours to fill the display tank and sump with unfiltered tap water!

N' that's how 10,000-12,000L/hr looks like in the overflow!! Tank maker made a minor mistake of cutting of the extra grooved part of the pipe connector. I'm unable to do the Durso Pipes! It sounded like a waterfall in the living room.

After 3 days of uneventful water test, water drained and begin the slow process of filling the tank up with RO/DI.
Eventhough it was rated at 400G/D.....wasn't even close..... It took me a total of 40 hours to fill up both DT and Sump!!!
Maybe I need a booster pump.

400G!

Oh my 天! Going to be exciting to see you stock up on the fishes (:

Anyway love your stance on running your own pipings because when shyt hits the fan, you know where to troubleshoot and amend the mistakes.

Thumbs up!

Happy Reefing,

Marc J.
