I think anything should be okay except water conditioners. Prazi and copper is fine but Ive not tried mixing other medication though.

Yes... Like seachem prime will reduce the cu2+ to cu+ which is very deadly to all marine life even at low concentration. You cannot use water conditioner. You can employ DI water for your salt mix should u need to change water.

Just to share my own experience here as i has make a few round of water change using prime water conditioner without any problem during my copper treatment period in main tank .

I did a max of 25% water change, just cut down on the dosage of the anti chlorine and it should be ok. Alternatively, you can try out other brand of anti chlorine which uses natural ingredient ? Maybe some other member can share their own experience as well.

Vitamin C is ok to dose during the copper treatment period.

Typically, most water conditioners will remove chlorine and chloramine immediately and will dissipate from the water after about 24-48 hours.

So it is no longer active, the water is safe to use, and it will not interact with the copper.

I always play safe and leave it for 3- 4 days before saltmix.

Always add "just enough" conditioner from the instruction label.

Had done it in my QT tank, no problem.

U can prepare the saltmix with prime then leave it for 24hrs to 48hrs. Then its fine to mix with copper. I have been doing this. So far so good

U guys rock! i double check with seachem and they replied the same.

Use right amount of prime for tap water treatment for 48hrs or longer.

Then in this case, pretreat saltwater with conditioner will not cause any effect with copper.

Almost buy a DI unit just for copper treatment.
