Mixing tap water with marine salt gave me a lot of brown algae problems. Was told PO4 in the tap water was a major causes. Please advise how to mix the tap water with marine salt. Thank you.

if possible let the water overnite then mixed with salt..tat's wat i normally do..also got add anti chlorine .. ;)

You have got very nice coral! I'm using a 2ft tank, fishes with LR only. Tank collapse 2 moths ago. All the fishes dead within 5 days, I guess NH4 and NO3 spike up. Starting all over again. Care to share how to cycle my tank properly. Presently I do not have any mechanical filter or skimmer. Just 1power head, grade 1 sand and LRs also 2 PL lights(10000k azoo white and arcdia blue ). Please advice if I intend to keep corals. Thank you.

bro i think you should read the pinned up topics in the 'New to the marine aquaria hobby' section...

really should read up and practice responsible fishkeeping...
